This fact sheet dove into everything that an aquaponic system is. From the basic of how the system works to the different possibilities it yields, the aquaponic system would be a wonderful sustainable system for the average farmer. Especially as a resource to be used in Namibia to aid in food security. In this fact sheet we also wanted to show some of the advantages and disadvantages of building an aquaponic system. We hoped that it would show that, even though there can be some disadvantages, the benefits are something that truly shine. The downsides are something that as many farmers that we talked to have said, are unavoidable when starting any new system. With many systems, it is necessary to put in an initial investment and there are unexpected issues that many arise, but as we show in this fact sheet, aquaponic systems are a wonderful resource.
This fact sheet was created in the same way as the first fact sheet. We spoke with our sponsors, did a lot of research and constructed a four page fact sheet with the ins and outs of aquaponics. Again, we did a three stage feedback process with our sponsors and wanted to provide the most pointed information that we could. Our sponsors helped a lot with the important pieces to include and the best way to communicate the information, for the audience that is trying to be reached.
Below you will be able to see the factsheet that we constructed. As we said with the first fact sheet, both the Think Namibia logo will be updated and we will be adding our project logo, at the end of the document.
